St. Charles is filled with many fantastic businesses, and there are exciting, new ones coming to this city all the time. Here are several places that have opened up recently that you may have missed, existing spots that have made big changes, and businesses coming soon that you definitely need to keep an eye out for.

There's no better time to start your fitness journey than right now, and Fitness on the Fox will help you do just that! They just opened up their brick-and-mortar location at 303 N. 4th Street last month, offering a wide range of women's group fitness classes that will make you feel strong, beautiful, and empowered. They believe that exercising is the most effective when you constantly change up your routine, so you'll find that they offer a variety of different workouts, such as "Muscle Max Monday" or "Tabata Thursday". It can be tough to shop for a child, but with Boutique Baby now being in downtown St. Charles, it just got a lot easier. Located at 92 S. 1st Street, they offer the best brands in infant-toddler apparel that have been personally tested by the owner, Deborah, who has over 20 years of experience as a birthing coach, lactation and post-partum specialist, and baby clothing retail sales. With all this wisdom to turn to when you shop, you can feel confident in the products you are purchasing.


Ton-Ichi Ramen

With the weather cooling down outside, it's the perfect time to indulge in some soup! Ton-Ichi Ramen opened their doors in St. Charles at 3843 E. Main Street, and they offer fantastic, authentic Ramen and other Japanese dishes that will be sure to warm you up in these upcoming winter months. After you've got your fill from your entrée, don't forget to grab one of their desserts, as they offer mochi ice cream and Japanese cheese cake. Either one is an excellent option to top off your meal!

Who doesn't love a good donut? Mochinut has a new location at 2704 E. Main Street, and it couldn't be more sweet. Their donuts are a mix between an American-style donut and Japanese Mocha, and the combination works wonderfully. You'll notice that the texture of their donut is a little different than the ones you may be used to, and that is due to the rice flour they use in their baking. Make sure to grab some, and also dive into their crispy, rice flour hotdogs and wash it down with one of their quenching bubble tea beverages. Your taste buds will thank you.

Opening it's doors in St. Charles last month at 2690 E. Main Street is Venice MedSpa. Venice MedSpa offers procedures that help you look and feel like the best version of yourself without it appearing fake or overdone. Moving in next door to The Graceful Ordinary at 7 E. Main Street is Duke's Northwood's Inn. This Wisconsin-style supper club is going to be serving burgers, bratwurst platters, cheese curds, fish n' chips, and much more. You'll also be able to find Speckled Calf beer from Crystal Lake Brewery to sip on while you're enjoying their fantastic cuisine. They intend on being a leader in the community, employing developmentally disabled individuals and hosting charity events. Jarrett Payton, son of Hall of Fame Bears Running Back Walter Payton, is a partner in this venture, so you can be sure it'll be a great place to catch a game, especially when the Bears take on the Packers.

Brown Butter Cafe is coming to St. Charles at 311 N 2nd Street, and will be offering gluten-free baked goods. You may have recognized their name from Kava Diem, where they have been selling their fan-favorite donuts. Not only will you find those outstanding donuts in the cafe, you'll also be able to order breakfast and lunch all day, as well as coffee drinks that include a cold-brew with coffee ice cubes! This is going to be an ideal destination to stop at after exploring the trails near Pottawatomie Park.

Coming soon to St. Charles is Moonlight Theatre, where you'll be able to see tons of entertainment including theatrical productions, music, and comedy acts, all at an affordable price. Moonlight Theatre will be at 7 S. 2nd Avenue, in the historic Idle Theatre building that was built in 1900. There will be a full service bar, and they will also offer soft drinks and food. You'll want to keep an eye out for special events too, as they will have open mic nights, and improv nights throughout the year, so that you can show off your skills on stage.

We've got something new arriving in St. Charles that will help satisfy that sweet tooth. The Tiny Kitchen is opening downtown at 107 W. Main Street, and they will be serving cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and more that will make your mouth-water. This will be more than just a bake shop offering delectable treats, it will serve as a gathering space, and an educational kitchen, all coming together to achieve their mission: to create. There will even be a cookie vending machine, so you'll always be able to satisfy that craving no matter when it hits.


New Changes

You may have seen that Francesca's recently changed their name to Mio Modo, meaning "my way". Not only did they have a name change, but they also have a new menu and a new interior. Their menu now features lighter, Italian food, and twists on classic dishes. The interior is beautiful, and it provides a phenomenal ambience while you're enjoying a magnificent meal. Stop by and see for yourself all of the exciting changes taking place at Mio Modo!

They have redone their interior at their St. Charles location, and it looks fantastic.
