Did you know St. Charles is home to numerous races? Whether it be by bike or by foot, these events are great opportunities to test your limits, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and support a great cause.

MMTT Splash & Dash

1050 Dunham Rd, St. Charles, IL

Professional timed swimming & running race split into three groups: Juniors 6-10, Seniors 11-17, and Adults. Finisher medals are awarded.

Great Western Half Marathon and 10K

May 4th, 2025
LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve - 37W700 Dean St, St. Charles, IL

Running for 25+ years, this annual event features a Half Marahon and a 10K, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting local Fox Valley mental health charities.

Mother's Day 5K

May 10th, 2025 | 7:30 AM
Mt. St. Mary Park, St. Charles, IL

This 5K run/walk is on a USATF certified course, chip timed with custom finisher medals and custom age awards every 5 years. Brunch by Coco Bean Bakery will follow.

Help and Hope 5K

Proceeds from this 5K run/walk will go to benefit Second Act Scene 2 and their mission. All participants will receive a Help & Hope 5K Water Bottle.

Everybody Rides

Annual bike ride fundraiser that benefits Project Mobility and it's mission. Featuring a 1.6 Mile Kid Friendly Ride, 10 Mile Family Trail Ride, 29, 46, and 62 Mile Road Ride.

Hickory Knolls Trail Run

This 5th annual 10K run and 5K individual and relay team run is the second event in the 2025 Dick Pond Athletics Darn Tough Trail Race Series. Proceeds benefit the St. Charles Park Foundation.

Great Western Freedom 4 Run 10K

July 4th, 2025
LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve - 37W700 Dean St, St. Charles, IL

All-ages 4 mile run or walk that takes place during the morning of the 4th of July! Prooceeds from this race goes to benefit Lazarus House and their mission.

Summer Sunset 5K & Youth Races

July 16th, 2025
Pottawatomie Park - 8 North Ave, St. Charles, IL

This event features a afternoon 5k, as well as a Youth Mile for participants 12 and under. Proceeds will go to help funding the Fox River Trail Runners Youth Scholarship Fund.

Chicagoland Tour De Cure

This is the premier cycling fundraising event of the American Diabetes Association®. This event has routes available for all ages and abilities.

W.A.R. on Wheels

Sammy's Bikes - 602 S 1st St, St. Charles, IL

Participants can choose three different bike routes: 10, 35, or 65 miles. All proceeds from registration goes directly to support CASA Kane County.

Fox Valley Marathon

September 21st, 2025
Mt. St. Mary Park, St. Charles, IL

Boston-Qualifying Marathon, along with a Half Marathon, Final 20, and Fox Valley 5K. The course takes participants along the Fox River through Geneva, Batavia, and North Aurora.

Hops for Hope

This annual beer 5k and Brewfest is a top 100 races in America by BibRave. Proceeds from the event goes to benefit Project Mobility and it's mission.

St. Charles Turkey Trot

November 27th, 2025
St. Charles North High School - 255 Red Gate Rd, St. Charles, IL

On the morning of Thanksgiving Day, this event features a 5K, and untimed 5K, Kid's Division 5K, and Kids 100 Meter Dash. Donuts are awarded at the finish line.

Sammy's Bikes Night Rides

Wednesday Evenings in the Summer & Fall | 6:00 PM
Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling - 106 S Riverside Ave, St. Charles, IL

Weekly charity rides with Sammy's Bikes and Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling. Donations benefit different local charities.

Fox Valley Winter Challenge Trail Series

Hickory Knolls Discovery Center - 3795 Campton Hills Dr, St. Charles, IL

The final race of the Fox Valley Winter Challenge Trail Series is a 10K. Participants will earn a finisher's medal and exclusive winter swag.

Kickin' the Kilt 5K
