The Bike Rack has been a St. Charles staple for over 50 years as they celebrated their anniversary this year! Since opening, the Bike Rack has been an integral part of the community, providing top-notch bikes, biking gear and accessories, and phenomenal service for their customers.

The Bike Rack, located at 2930 Campton Hill Road, is a family business as Hal Honeyman now owns the Bike Rack with his mother, Nancy, his wife, Julie, their Son, Dane, his sister, Tammy Simmons and his brother, Lance. While you may not see them manufacturing bikes in the shop, you will see them hard at work maintaining a slough of bikes coming in for repairs, assembling all sorts of bikes such as the adaptive bikes and much more.

Speaking of the adaptive bikes, this has been a primary focus for Hal as he founded Project Mobility, a local non-profit whose mission is to provide children, adults and wounded soldiers with disabilities with adaptive bikes. These bikes are often shipped to The Bike Rack and assembled at the facility. They can also make modifications based on each individual’s needs for the bike.
