Checking in just for two? St. Charles is the perfect place for you and your significant other to get away. There are plenty of activities that you can do together that will help you feel closer to your partner than ever.


Day 1


Breakfast at Syrup and Explore Mt. St. Mary Park

Wake up feeling refreshed after a romantic stay at the historic waterfront Hotel Baker. Start your day early by taking a stroll with your significant other around Mt. St. Mary Park and appreciate the numerous sculptures scattered throughout. After your walk, head to Syrup for a delightful breakfast and savor a wide range of dishes including benedicts, crepes, omelets, and more.

Vacations are a great opportunity to do some shopping. St. Charles has many antique and consignment shops to explore such as Circa Vintage Gallery, Double Take Consignment, or SG Too. You'll have a great time seeing what treasures you can find! Next, grab a bite at the renowned McNally's Irish Pub & Kitchen and taste the delicious flavors of their traditional Irish fare, along with one of the best Guinness's around.


Entertainment at Steel Beam Theatre and Dinner at moto imoto

That evening, experience first-class entertainment at Steel Beam Theatre. They frequently put on excellent performing arts for the community to enjoy. For dinner, moto imoto is a great place to go to enjoy award-winning sushi and other Asian cuisine inside their stylish dining area.


Day 2


The next morning, stop by Arcedium Coffeehouse for a cup of their freshly roasted, organic coffee and a decadent baked treat. Then, head just east of downtown and visit the St. Charles Motorcycle Museum & Art Gallery! Here, you can view amazing works of art, see vintage motorcycles up close, and enjoy a glass of wine with your significant other.


Ride a Paddlewheel Riverboat and Lunch at Mio Modo

Take a midday boat ride and cruise the Fox River on a Paddlewheel Riverboat. Enjoy the scenic beauty and learn about the history of the area. Once you're back on land, have a romantic lunch at Mio Modo and taste the flavors of old-school Italian recipes as well as twists on classic dishes.


Take a Class at Fox Den Cooking and Visit Club Arcada

Refine your culinary skills and take a class at Fox Den Cooking. Here, you and your partner can learn to make a tasty dish (that you can devour after you've finished). If you're not ready for the evening to end, stop by Club Arcada Speakeasy and head back in time to the "Roaring 20s"! Here, you can taste incredible cocktails, gourmet dining, and enjoy live entertainment.
