It's the most magical time of the year again in St. Charles! The 2022 Holiday Homecoming, sponsored by St. Charles Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, will take place on November 25th through November 26th and will feature several free holiday activities that will make your season merry and bright. Here's everything you need to know to make the most out of this year's Holiday Homecoming.

Holiday Homecoming kicks off with the Lighting of the Lights ceremony on Friday, November 25th at 5pm in the First Street Plaza. This beautiful ceremony is sponsored by Solutions Networking and is the perfect way to dive right into the holiday season as you get to celebrate with the entire community. You'll be able to sing along with the St. Charles East and North High School Chorales as they sing your favorite holiday carols, and you'll have the opportunity take a picture in front of our dazzling photo opportunity area - a lit up, eight-foot ornament backdrop, sponsored by The Pride Stores. Keep your eyes peeled for Santa, because he may even make an appearance at the end.

Saturday, November 26th will be filled with holiday fun, starting with the annual free holiday movie at the historic Arcada Theatre, sponsored by McNally's Heating & Cooling. This year's movie is "Elf" which will start at 10am. The doors open at 9am, so you'll have plenty of time to find a good seat and grab some snacks from the lobby. You are not going to want to miss this film because seeing a holiday movie at the Arcada Theatre is much more fun than trying to watch one on your VCR that has 11 cookies crammed into it.

We hope you've finished your wish list because Santa will be right here in St. Charles, and you'll have many chances to visit him! Santa's House, sponsored by @Properties Christie's International Real Estate, will be at the First Street Plaza every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm from November 26th through December 18th. You'll be able to talk with Santa, and even snap a picture with him, too! Bring your wish list along with you too, as you can drop it off at Santa's House so that he can bring it back to his workshop. Hopefully you've been on your best behavior all year, or you may be in store for some coal!

Wrapping up the 2022 Holiday Homecoming is what everyone has been waiting for: The Electric Christmas Parade. The Electric Christmas Parade, sponsored by St. Charles Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, takes place in downtown St. Charles on Main Street, and has over 60 parade entries that will be lit up in the night! This is a great opportunity to admire the dazzling floats, listen to holiday tunes, and even see a special guest, Santa Claus!
