New and Now Open Businesses – November 2021

2021 is coming to a close soon, and we still have so much to be excited about in this year. So many businesses have joined our St. Charles community recently that we wanted to make sure you all know what’s here and upcoming in St. Charles. We hope you get a chance to welcome all the new, amazing faces and give their businesses a shot!

The long awaited opening of Graceful Ordinary is finally here! It’s been amazing to see the process as they transformed the former BMO Harris Bank Building into a gorgeous restaurant. Come find amazing, delicious food made by renowned chef Chris Curren, who opened the business with his wife Megan, get new, amazing views of the river and enjoy all that Graceful Ordinary has to offer.

2. Mad Batter Bakery

Take a step into the world of Alice in Wonderland as you explore all of Mad Batter’s Tasty creations. They are at 320 W. Main St. – formerly where Two Wild Seeds Baking Co. was – and now the torch has been passed on to Mad Batter to bring tasty treats to the St. Charles community.

Wanna know the latest buzz on the street? It’s that the Hive Tavern and Eatery is the place to bee! That’s right, located along Main Street where the former Main Street Pub was – 204 W Main St – the Hive is serving up handcrafted food – burgers, wings, sandwiches and more – as well as great drinks to pair!

St. Charles Hardware opened up here in the end of October and are a fantastic place to go for all your hardware needs. Find great deals, service and products in their store located at 3619 E. Main St.

Gindo’s is a business that has been in St. Charles for a while with visiting during the various farmer’s markets, but now they are making roots here in St. Charles with their new location at 2002 W. Main Street. Dive into a world of diverse and delicious hot sauces that were made using local produce. Their new store will feature the hot sauces, but will also give you a peek into their production as you see the sauces come to life. Come check them out on Facebook and stop by as they are opening soon!

Looking to change up the look of your home a bit? Stop into Pep Line at 201 Cedar Avenue, where they have a wide variety of home goods including furniture. Sofas, ottomans, chairs, side tables, rugs, and lighting are featured in vignettes and sections of the shoppe. Pieces of art, mirrors, greenery, planters, vases, kitchen entertaining items including serveware, barware, and seasonal décor are also part of the collection. They also have Peppeard Design, which will also offer after-hours events in their new space to offer styling tips and trends. There’s a whole bunch to find there!

Upcoming Businesses

1. Coroco Coffee

Many people were disappointed to hear that the Starbucks was leaving their amazing location on First Street, but we have some good news! Coroco Coffee, a local coffee business, is moving in to where the Starbucks was located and are going to be providing stellar coffee and breakfast items! Keep an eye to see when they open up by following them on Facebook

2. The Lewis

The owner’s of Bogart’s Bar saw a great opportunity to transform the former 100 Grapes location – 100 E. Main Street – into a new bar they’re calling the Lewis. The cocktail bar will be a 70’s themed bar with food and drinks from local breweries and businesses. Right now, they are looking at a mid-December opening date so keep your eyes peeled for when they open up!

3. 2B Beauty Co.

Coming to St. Charles from Geneva is the 2B Beauty Co. 2B Beauty Co. is a day spa co-owned by Taylor Barry and Briellen Bosch. This team has been practicing professionally in the beauty industry for 18+ years. They specialize in all things brows, lashes, and skin; specifically waxing, lash lifts, brow lamination, tinting, advanced skincare, and brazilians. 2B Beauty Co. will soon be relocating to the beloved downtown St. Charles at 217 W. Main St. They look forward to welcoming & serving all of your beauty needs!

4. Hops ‘n Barrels

Coming to the corner of Main and Route 31, Hops ‘n Barrels is working on getting the location ready to open! We’ll update you when we have more information!
