St. Charles 2021 Holiday Homecoming
Here in St. Charles, we start the Holiday season off right with Holiday Homecoming! The event is on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving – November 26 & 27 – and features a whole variety of ways to kick-off the Holidays.
On Friday, we host the Lighting of the Lights ceremony in First Street Plaza, and it’s a treat! The Mayor comes out and delivers a great Holiday message, Santa flies down from the North Pole to make a visit and meet people in his Santa House and the dazzling lights come on in amazing fashion in the First Street Plaza. Plus, the St. Charles High Schools come and sing Christmas carols to get you all set and ready for the Saturday activities.
Speaking of, Saturday is full of family-friendly fun that everyone can enjoy. The Arcada will be open in the morning for families to come watch Frozen 2, the Holiday Tree Trail trees will be all decorated and voting will be open for them, businesses will be hosting fun events throughout the day until everything culminates with the spectacular Electric Christmas Parade here in the downtown. Truly a spectacle that you don’t want to miss, lighted entries travel along Main Street here in downtown to celebrate the Holidays. There’s music, dazzling and creative entries and so much to see.

Take the whole weekend to explore by staying in one of our amazing hotels. We have 10 great hotels to choose from and all of them are within a 5-10 minute commute to our downtown so you can easily catch all the action.
