First things first: what's a holiday season without the sweets? While, July may not be the most ideal time to indulge in some hot chocolate - there are still plenty of treats in St. Charles that can help you get in the spirit of the Yuletide. Whether you're looking for a cool snack, there are some great ice cream shops in town to head to, along with other frozen treats at Andy's Frozen Custard, or at Forever Yogurt. If a decadent pastry is on your list to Santa this year, look no further than Mad Batter Bakery & Confections or Smallcakes to satisfy that craving.
Visit a Public Pool

Believe it or not, even Santa Claus likes to get away from the North Pole sometimes in order to soak up some sun and to do a bit of swimming! And this year, we couldn't be more excited to learn that Santa will be coming to St. Charles on July 25th! You can visit with the North Pole's most famous resident at Otter Cove Aquatic Park at 12pm, and at Swanson Pool at 2pm. You can be assured that the day will be filled with reindeer games, holiday tunes, and a festive spirit that only Santa Claus himself can offer.

One of the very best thing about this season is all the wonderful holiday movies that are on during that time of the year. You can recreate this magic at your own home by taking a trip to the St. Charles Public Library to view their selection of movies, which includes holiday films! The St. Charles Public Library is an incredible resource for our community, as all you need to have to explore their wide selection of books, media, and more, is a free library card! Once you stumble upon a few films that are sure to put you in a merry mood, grab some candy and craft soda from Rocket Fizz to make it the ultimate holiday movie night!

You don't have to wait until December do your holiday shopping. This is a great opportunity to show your loved ones just how much you appreciate them by giving them a gift! With all the amazing retail that we have in town, it really isn't a tough task to find gifts for everyone on your list! Take a Motorcycle Ride

December can sometimes be a little too chilly for a motorcycle ride. However, July is perfect for it! Leave your reindeer at home and join Fox River Harley-Davidson for their Christmas in July Bike Night on July 25th from 6pm-9pm. There will be live music by Rick Lindy & The Wild Ones, and delicious wood-fired pizza from Billy Bricks! On top of all that, even Santa Claus himself will be making a special appearance with stockings filled with swag and gift cards!
