5 Can't Miss Elements at St. Charles Scarecrow Weekend

With Scarecrow Weekend knocking on the door, it's time to start taking a look at some of the elements that will make up this year's event. While there will be many activities and entertainment that will take place over the entire duration of the weekend, there will be some acts that you can only catch on certain days/times. Take a look below at some must-see features of Scarecrow Weekend that you can only see for a limited time.


Wienermobile

The Wienermobile is coming to Scarecrow Weekend on Saturday, October 7th from 11am-5pm and will be located in the front parking lot of the Municipal Building. You simply won't want to miss out on snapping a photo in front of this iconic vehicle. Plus, they will be passing out hot dog whistles so you can celebrate with some noise, too!


Culver's Ice Cream Eating Contest

If you are a fan of the cool, smooth treat of ice cream, you have to experience the Ice Cream Eating Contest, brought to you by Culver's on 4068 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL 60174. From 2pm to 3pm in the Activity Zone is where this contest will be held, and there will be two heats. If you're looking to participate, you can sign up for the contest at the Informational Booth at the Municipal Building. You must be 18 years or older to participate.


Interactive Bubble Stations

When it comes to children's activities, you really can't go wrong with bubbles - everyone loves them! On Sunday, October 8th in the Activity Zone, there will be tables set up where children can try out a variety of different bubble wands! If you still can't get enough of the bubbles, Glowby the Bubbler will be roaming around the Lincoln Park Family Zone on Saturday, October 7th from 12pm-3pm, and Sunday, October 8th from 1pm-4pm. He will be making unique bubble designs, and he always gets the audience involved!

Windy City Ghostbusters

If you happen to stumble upon some ghosts during Scarecrow Weekend, who are you going to call? Ghostbusters, that's who! The Windy City Ghostbusters will be taking care of everything paranormal at the Family Zone in Lincoln Park on Sunday from 10am-5pm. This 501(c)(3) charity group will be wearing movie-accurate Ghostbuster costumes, and will even be joined by the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man himself.


John Measner Magic Truck

Get ready to be amazed! John Measner, a classically trained magician, will be showcasing mystifying illusions on Saturday, October 7th at 11am, 1pm, and 4:30pm in the Activity Zone! That's right, you'll have three chances at witnessing his mind-blowing magic that has been featured on Chicago's own "Bozo Show". You are not going to want to miss this - Measner has over 35 years of magic experience, making him an entrancing attraction at this year's Scarecrow Weekend.

As you read up on all the different limited-time elements at this year's Scarecrow Weekend, you'll notice that many of them are on different days. Because of this, we recommend staying in St. Charles for the entire duration of the weekend, that way, you can be sure that you don't miss any of the exciting attractions!
