Splash down into fun!
Break out the floaties, beach towels and sunscreen, it’s time to hit the pool! Zoom down some water slides, cool off in the pool or take a slow ride down the Lazy River at the Otter Cove Aquatic Park! And when you’re drying off, enjoy their concessions or great areas for lounging and catching some sun. Swanson Pool is also a great spot because you can not only enjoy their water slides and pools, you can head over to Pottawatomie Park for some fun activities such as mini golfing, paddlewheel boating or sand volleyball at the sand volleyball court!
Best place to go? A Patio!
Enjoy the weather and a cool beverage on the fantastic patios around the City! Downtown St. Charles is chock full of restaurants that offer patios for catching a cool drink, delicious food and even better views! Check out our list of places to find patios downtown.
If you’re looking for a cold craft brew and a patio, check out Riverlands Brewing Co. and 93 Octane Brewing Co. for two fantastic spots to catch a drink and enjoy the patios, or even head inside if the weather is a bit too toasty. Riverlands has a fantastic beer garden, as well as an immaculately decorated interior for you to sit back, relax and even catch some games on TV! Octane has a great patio and they are right next door to Urban Counter if you want to grab a bite to eat!
Cool down with some frozen treats
Illinois summers can be brutal with that heat and no matter what you do, you feel like you’re just going to melt away. Why not instead head over to our amazing dessert shops for some ice cream? Putt Together a Day at Pottawatomie
Pottawatomie has it all for enjoying your summer day! Families can find the Riverview Miniature Golf Course full of fun and amazingly decorated holes for a great time! Or they can rent out a paddlewheel boat to get out on the Fox River.
If you want to spend some more time, the pavilion by the river is the perfect spot for a picnic or breakout the blanket and chill in the grass! There’s a playground there for kids to enjoy or a sand volleyball court to practice your bump, set, spike!
For anyone looking to get in some golf, head over to Pottawatomie Golf Course, a challenging but fun 9-hole course! Walking on the course is a great option if you want to stretch you legs or there are golf carts available for rent!
Summer Night Live Music
Find the beats that can’t be beat with live music in St. Charles! There’s no where better than St. Charles for live music with amazing performances from local artists at many St. Charles restaurants or for an electric performance at the remodeled Arcada Theatre! Find Hollywood stars and more coming to the Arcada for a music experience that you can’t experience anywhere else. Plus with the new Barcada and Rock ‘N Za as places to grab a bite or drink before the show!
Also, check out STC Live for music performances on Wednesday and Friday nights around town from until Labor Day weekend! There are going to be so many great, local artists to come see and support so go have fun!
