The 28th Annual St. Charles Fine Art Show is back this Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th. This yearly celebration of fine art attracts visitors from near and far, looking to admire the work of over 110 juried artists from around the world, all available for purchase during the show. However, aside from all the amazing artists that will be there, there will also be tons taking place throughout the weekend that you do not want to miss out on. Here are five can't-miss attractions at this year's free St. Charles Fine Art Show. '
1 - Enjoy Art & Music on the Plaza
For the third year - the 1st Street Plaza will be home to Art & Music on the Plaza from 1pm-3pm on both days of the event. This performance will feature local artist Caitlin Palagi, as she brings the rhythm to life on canvas as vibrant jazz accompanies her. The John Wesley Experience will be there on Saturday, and the Jack Macklin Trio on Sunday.
2 - Paint a Car

Does browsing all the fantastic art at the Fine Art Show make you want to pick up a paint brush for yourself? We've got you covered. In the Jeep Activity Zone on Riverside Avenue, there will be a real car provided by St. Charles Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, waiting for you to make your mark! The Pottawatomie Garden Club will be on-site helping out, so stop by, say hello, and get creative - no matter your age!
3 - See Live Demonstrations
Sure, it's a blast getting to view all the amazing art at the event - but getting to watch live demonstrations can be just as exciting! Fine Line Creative Arts Center will be in the Feature Tent located in the Jeep Activity Zone bringing their art to life. On both days of the event, they will be demonstrating various mediums for attendees to view. It's a great chance to learn something new - and maybe even pick up a new passion!
4 - Receive Free Concert Tickets for Buying Art

Free tickets to a show to the historic Arcada Theatre, simply for purchasing art? Sign us up! Thanks to the Artcada Purchase Program, attendees that purchase $250 or more in art can take their receipts to the Information Tent to redeem them for a voucher. Then, you can take the voucher over to the Theatre (conveniently located right by the event), to choose your tickets.
5 - Get a Limited-Edition Water

There is a lot to see and do at this year's show - so you're going to need to make sure that you stay hydrated. Thanks to Theriault Booth LLC. Attorney's at Law, there will free water handed out at the Information Booth (while supplies last). The water comes in a reusable aluminum bottle, with the artwork designed by St. Charles East High School student - Ava Skwierawski! Your water bottle can then be filled at one of the water stations at the event, provided by Culligan Water.
