10 Best Inexpensive and Free Family Activities in St. Charles

Located at Pottawatomie Park, Riverview Miniature Golf Course is the perfect spot for families to come spend some time playing mini-golf! Try to get a hole-in-one on one of the 18 fun holes on the course and catch some scenic views too! There’s also a playground right across from the course so you can go there for some fun afterwards!

  1. Playing or having a picnic at Pottawatomie Park

With Riverview Miniature Golf being just a part of Pottawatomie Park, you can explore the rest of what the park offers or make another separate trip! Have a picnic at the Pottawatomie Park Pavilion, where you can catch some great views of the river and of the ducks and geese that meander along the river! You can also rent peddlewheel boats from the Riverview Miniature Golf Course – which prices are very affordable and well worth it for all the fun you’ll have!

You can also visit the nearby playground for some fun or walk to downtown St. Charles for some food and ice cream.

Add a splash of fun at Swanson Pool or Otter Cove Aquatic Park! Entry prices are very affordable and well worht it to get in for some summer fun! Cool off by swimming in the pools and sliding down water slides. You can also check out the lazy river at Otter Cove Water Park to chill out for a bit!
