Back again for the 3rd year, you're favorite downtown adventure is taking place on August 11th starting at 9am. The "Be You" Rock Hunt is the perfect opportunity to venture around town for a chance to win some outstanding prizes before school is back in full-swing. Let's dive into everything you need to know - and pay attention because there may even be some hidden clues on where to look.
How to Participate
Participating in the "Be You" Rock Hunt is simple - but trust us, it's not going to be easy to win. We've placed ten beautifully painted rocks all around the outdoors in downtown, and they are impatiently waiting for you to find them. Pinning one down can be a towering task, as they won't always be in plain sight. However, the prize is worth all the effort! If your hunt is a success, you can take the rock to the Municipal Building between the hours of 8am and 1pm from Monday through Friday to claim your goodie bag filled with gifts, coupons, and more valued at over $90 from some terrific St. Charles businesses. These business include, and are not limited to, Rocket Fizz, Charlestowne 18, Play It Again Sports, and so much more! This event is for all-ages, and for everyone whether you live in this great city or if you're being welcomed to St. Charles for the first time. And please, only one rock can be submitted per person as we want to make sure everyone can get in on the fun!
Where to Look
You're going to have to search high and low, and they can be found anywhere from the local parks to nearby your favorite restaurant or shop downtown. You'll be able to get outside and admire the town, and maybe learn a little bit about its history while you're at it, too! You'll see that when you take the time to explore downtown by foot, crossing over to each side of the Fox River, you'll discover so much more of what it has to offer. From fresh produce vendors to outdoor patios where the food is delicious and the drinks flow, St. Charles really has it all. The event will end once all of the rocks are found, and updates on the status of it can be found on our social media @stcalliance and @travelstcharles along with some clues if you happen to get into a pickle.
