2022 Made in St. Charles Recipient: Campbell Creations

Creating beautiful products using local resources - this is one of the many characteristics of a true artisan. Bill and Shawn Campbell were inspired to do this after spending time at Bill's parent's 40 acre property in Wisconsin. The property is filled with black walnut trees, some of which were old and had fallen over. Bill knew that there had to be something artistic that he could do with the wood, and that's when Campbell Creations started to come to life.

Campbell Creations takes charcuterie to a whole new level with their custom inlay charcuterie boards. They take wood from trees that are native to Illinois, and use an organic epoxy to merge different objects in the wood, such as seashells, flowers, and butterflies. The finished product is magnificent; no two boards are the same. Their products don't only serve as a great way to present meats and cheeses, but it can also be used as a decorative art piece for all to admire.

Bill and Shawn have lived in St. Charles for almost 40 years, and to them, their favorite thing about this community is the people. They are continuously amazed by the support they receive, which has made their experience as business-owners one-of-a-kind, just like the products they create.
