Thank you to everyone who was able to come be a part of the 34th annual Scarecrow Festival this past weekend! We want to give a huge thank you to our sponsors, volunteers and so many more for their help in making this weekend possible. The votes are in and Scarecrow Contest winners will be announced this Friday so be sure to check the Alliance's social media.
The highly attended Electric Christmas Parade is coming back for another great year in downtown St. Charles, and registration for the parade is open.
Local businesses, community groups and non-profits are encouraged to participate. The deadline for entries is Friday, Oct. 20. Entries must submit three items to the Alliance in order to complete their entry: an entry application, certificate of insurance forms and an entry fee. All forms can be found here and the entry fee is $275 for businesses, $150 for St. Charles Businesses and $25 for non-profit organizations.

St. Charles History Museum
The St. Charles History Museum’s next temporary exhibit, The Good, the Bad, the Ugly: The Boys School of St. Charles, will explore the history of the local reformatory school and its impact on the boys who attended it. The exhibit will be on display until the end of the year and will open with a special opening reception from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 25.

Save-A-Joe is a new event coming to downtown St. Charles this year! Beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, the event is raising money for veterans. Tickets are $50 and include an SAJ long sleeve t-shirt, three drink tickets, appetizers at the first and last bars, entry into the poker game an a donation to help veterans in need.
