St. Charles, IL – In an effort to drive tourism to St. Charles, the St. Charles Business Alliance’s sales team attended the 2022 Connect Marketplace, the leading event for planners and suppliers focused on national association and corporate events, with a representative from the Q Center.

The three-day event took place in Detroit, MI at Huntington Place. Outside of the one-on-one meetings, the Alliance had a booth as part of the Illinois aisle, which showcased other Illinois locations, and connected with attendees at the show to encourage to visit St. Charles. The Alliance partnered with the Naperville Conventions & Visitors Bureau to offer specialty popcorn to entice visitors, as well as a business card raffle for various prizes.

Laura Purdy, St. Charles Business Alliance Senior Manager of Tourism & Sales, said the show went well and the team gathered some strong leads.

“Connect is our chance to put St. Charles on the map and get planners interested in what’s here and what we can offer for meetings and conferences,” Purdy said. “We left with planners very interested in learning more about St. Charles and hosting their events here.”

STC Six Raises Over $4,000 for Non-Profit

July 21, 2022

Jazz Check-In Challenge.png

St. Charles, IL – On June 15, the first ever St. Charles beer collaboration launched. Six well-known local St. Charles Breweries all came together to create the STC Six, a brand-new beer for the event. The six breweries were: Pollyanna Brewing Company, Alter Brewing and Kitchen, Riverlands Brewing Company, Broken Brix Homebrew Shop, 93 Octane Brewery, and D and G Brewing.

Not only did they create a delicious Amber Lager, but, it was done for a great cause. A portion of the sales were donated to the Tri City Health Partnership. This non-profit organization, that started in 2001, is the only free medical and dental clinic in Kane County for residents that do not have the ability to pay for those services. This collaboration was able to raise over $4,000 towards the organization and will have a great impact on their mission.

Tri City Health Partnership Executive Director, Kim Lamansky said, “Tri City Health Partnership is overwhelmed at the outpouring of generosity from the successful STC Six collaboration. Each of the brewers have reached out with their donations and it was wonderful to hear the joy in their voices, knowing the donation will truly impact the lives of our patients.”

The donations will directly impact the patients, helping them get the treatment they need. “We were blessed to receive over $4,000! That donation will provide 20 office visits to the underserved in our community,” said Lamansky.

While this collaboration has come to an end, keep an eye out for similar collaborations in the future. For more information about this event, visit www.stcsix.com. To find out ways to contribute to the Tri City Health Partnership, please visit their website at tchpfreeclinic.org.
